smokin5s
Ok, my mom's Jeep is a '95 with a 4.0 engine. What type of antifreeze goes in it? The antifreeze was brown that was in it, but that could have been because it was broken down.... I flushed it once and put the orange stuff in it thinking that's what it was supposed to have, but it had a waterpump leak, so I had to drain it again Just woundering if it is supposed to use the green or orange stuff. Everywhere I've looked, it just says uses Jeep approved coolant... ok... what is it??? damn manuals... no help! GRN96WS6
To my knowledge most cars take the green stuff. Only GM that I know of uses Dex Cool (orange stuff)

One guy was like, the green stuff, then they put me on hold, and someone else picked up, and told me the orange.
Bahnstoermer1647545488
Uh, yeah regular ("green") antifreeze on a Jeep 4.0L or 2.5L or anything but the Caddy's
smokin5s
I just got ahold of a Jeep dealership that would talk to me. They said either one is fine as long as they aren't mixed. I guess the Dex-Col or whatever is just a longer life antifreeze. They started using that in the '00 models. Thanks guys!
