Guest 24kboost
I am in the prosses of replacing the clutch in my first DSM ('90 talon Tsi AWD) and I can't get the tranny back in! I double checked that I have the right clutch, I even removed the intermidiate shaft from the car trying to make it easier to get it back in. Here is my problem: the tranny is mated to the engine (I can turn the crank bolt and the CV shaft output splines are turning) but the tranny is still sitting about 3/4 of an inch away from the block all the way around. Any tips or tricks of the trade to get me back on the road would be great. Thank you everybody in advance. burgels
Probably better to post this on http://www.columbusdsm.com/forum/ or peruse www.vfaq.com I used to be a dsm guy but I didn't do any tranny work, sorry. Those guys on the dsm forum should be able to help though.
znperformance
You just need to keep turning and pushing it until it lines up. Good luck smile.gif Also if you can get any bolts line up try screwing them in and let them pull the tranny in.
