Guest stevil
Originally posted by STR8 H8: I agree, totally gay. wanted a chance to retort some of that bullshit from Mr. Liberalville Hmmm. Fuck censorship I guess... He has given tax cuts to the top 5% of earners-Tax cuts were given to everyone I believe, I got one, but the top 5% got a bigger cut because they pay a shitload of tax... probably over 50%? Not sure, but the more you make, the more (%) you pay. We need a flat tax rate, fair to all. But it would be way to easy for Americans to pay, and would put tons of tax industry people out of work (H&R Block, etc) so it probably won't happen soon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hey everyone, lets go die for our f*cked in the head president while he continues to jack up gas prices. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -It's all Bush's fault that {insert problem here} -Bush is a leader with strong opinions, views and stances. Solid decisions... not confusion, fright, or random choices. Who do you want to represent the USA? -People need to use common sense, look at the big picture and think for themselves. Just because somebody says: Bush gave a huge tax cut to millionaires, they save thousands in taxes!!! Unfair!!! Boohoo!!! doesn't mean it's the whole story... Bush was a small part of it, everybody got a fair tax cut, and this is supposed to be land of the free, which rewards hard working Americans that earn money, no matter how much or how little... not tax their fucking ass to death. I'm not rich now, but someday I'd like to be. -Don't fall for some shit where they want to give more handouts (from government programs, which comes from your taxes) and they cater to only the lower class (which is huge, and obviously helpful to gain votes). -A draft won't happen until we need it, and you'll know it when we do. World war, not some little shit with Iraq. Most of us can only imagine, since we've lived here in safety all our lives. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BUT THE WAR IN IRAQ IS NOT ABOUT THE SAFETY OF OUR FUCKING COUNTRY AND WE SHOULD NOT BE THERE anyone who thinks that Iraq was legitimately part of the "War on Terror" is a fucking moron and I will say that to their face! Not just the little Tomahawk POS they dropped on ONE camp, but Daisy-Cutters on every known Al-Quaida camp out there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So tactical warfare with one terrorist country is good, while "war" with another dictator/terrorist/war hungry country is bad? wtf mate? What do you think we did with Iraq? Same thing you suggested to do with Afganistan... and now we're still there helping them recover. Look at history... Germany started shit which set off WWI. They were defeated, and their forces grew, fueled by Hitler. They tried again in WWII and we stopped them. It was not our war until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Today, pretty much the same thing... Iraq started shit with Kuwait, we stopped them. They have been building up forces with Saddam in charge. The terrorists attack us on 9/11 (common suicide style of attack for middle east), we retaliate. But with todays technology we strike military targets very accurately with less harm to civilians (How many of us live within a few hundred yards near a military base?), and now we're helping Iraq to start new, without a dictator. We will not control Iraq or govern it, although we may purchase oil from them... that IS about all they have to offer in the world trade community. If nobody bought their oil it would be a bad thing. SupraGlue
Iraq is about the safety of the US. - Since 1991, US troops have been stationed in Saudi to protect Saudi from Hussein. Hussein attacked Saudi during Gulf War I because they were our allies. We owed them protection from him, and it was requested by the Saudi government - Al Qaida used the presence of US troops to propandize for fundraising and recruiting. They attacked Khobar Towers, the African embassies, the WTC (first try), and USS Cole, before 9/11. Each time they claimed their reason was the presence of US troops in Saudi. - To reduce the ability of Al Qaida to recruit and fundraise, removal of US troops from Saudi is a reasonable goal. This could not be done if Saudi was threatened by Hussein. - Ergo, to wit and therefore, removing Saddam Hussein from power allows us to get US troops out of Saudi Arabia and enhances our national security. Next issue.
