Crash1647545504
Well April 2nd I turn 19. A friend of mine is getting back from Isreal shortly after. so six (3 gurls 3 guys) of us want to take a trip to Canada and hit their bars and clubs for a week. None of us have ever been to Canada. I looked on google but there city discriptions don't really include the bar & club scene. Any recomendations on the city to visit with condos for rent near the bars & clubs. evan9381
if youre going to windsor, you can find hotels right on the main strip...if you take the tunnel (most likely get searched on the bridge) when you come out of the tunnel, take a left...the first street is the main strip...i was talkin to someone, adn they said in the spring, there are around 200 bars/clubs open there were a lot open the weekend of the blizzard in jan when we went

BiG BeN
you can go without one, it's just a pain in the ass if you don't, cause they'l likely want to empty the contents of your vehicle and poke around.

Without a passport, if they don't feel like letting you in, they don't have to. It's still possible, just a huge hassle. If no passports, at the very least bring your birth certificate. The only time I was in Canada, all that I had was my drivers license, and I got all kinds of hell going each way across the border.

dragknee66
You'll love windsor being 19. But the alchol is EXTREMELY watered down. My advice is go through the tunnel to windsor, youll be dumped off RITE by a Romada hotel. This is where I stayed when I went just last weekend. They have a decent dance place in the basement of that hotel as well. Plan on EVERYWHERE you go to be REALLLY busy. You wont be bar hopping all night because you'll be waiting in lines for 30-40mins. There is a nice place across the street called Peppers I believe. There were some great looking girls at that place. The good thing was.. they dont let this place get over crowded, they fill it, and hold people from coming in until someone leaves. Girls there are your typical "buy me a drink!" "im not gonna dance with any guys!" types of chicks. You wont be able to afford to stay for a week though, and after 1-2 days, you'll be sick of it anyways. Our hotel bill was $170 bucks for a 1 night stay (with parking, tax and fees, and room for night). Im sure you could find cheaper places to stay, but you'de have to cab it everywhere then. Trouble Maker
Originally posted by DragKnee66: There is a nice place across the street called Peppers I believe.I had fun at that place one time. Then another time we went there for lunch and they cut us off. Well, they actually cut two of my friends off from ordering drinks for the g/f's because they thought they were trying to get them drunk to take advantage of them. Both of them had been dating the girls for ~6 years, and no one was drunk, including the girls. I'll never go back to that place. graemlins/finger.gif There are a ton of clubs, you'd be pretty hard pressed to find one that's really bad. Talk to people up there, they are really helpful about which places to go. Me not being a club person, I love The Honest Lawyer and Pattrick O'Ryans. The Honest Lawyer is on the strip with all of the clubs. There are usually alot of hot girls at the Honest Lawyer, very busy at night and a party environment without the super loud music and dancing. Patty O's is right behind the Travelodge on the river, which is where we usually stay. I've never had a problem with quick service and really cool bartenders at either of those places. I’m sure you might have a problem with lines at bars at clubs though. They usually have live music at night at Patty O's, really fun, especially if you’re wasted and feel like acting Irish for the night. graemlins/thumb.gif The Travelodge is within walking distance from everything and is ~120USD/night for a two queen bed room for normal rates. I've been to Canada a dozen times, before and after 9-11, been searched and rejected due to mace in the car once. All's you need is a drivers license (or some state issued ID), and a notarized birth certificate or a passport. I'm sure a social will help too. You can call border patrol and they will tell you the same thing. Take two forms of picture ID if you have it, some clubs and the casion want some two forms of ID if you are under 21. Usually just anything with your name on it will work though for the second ID, like a credit card or a student ID. I'll second what Dragknee66 said, just take a weekend up there. You can get a birth certificate pretty easily downtown at the Health Department if you were born in Franklin County, if any of you need one. I'm going up this up coming weekend, have fun when you go. smile.gif
mrs.cos
From what i know of, Montreal seems to have quite the party scene..
fush
Try out hotwire for a hotel deal. When I went up last time we used it and ended up staying at the Hilton for 70/night, and our rooms were overlooking Detroit which is pretty cool looking when you get back to the hotel drunk in the middle of the night. smile.gif

AngryBMW
Ben, I just got back smile.gif I stayed in the Travelodge downtown, which is two blocks from the Casino. It was 110 american for the room, 2 queen size beds. Right behing the Travelodge is a kick ass bar called Ryan O'Malleys Pub. Good prices, lots of girls, and GREAT beer. My suggestion though is to buy some liquor and drink in your room before you go out. Get a buzz, so you dont waste as much cash at the bars. Stay AWAY from Cheetas. That is where everyone tells you to go, and it's fucing packed, expensive, and a rip off. If you want to go to a strip club, go to Leapords. $20 lap dances, not ridiculously packed, and the girls are smoking! At the casino, play Roulette. Other than that, have fun. Oh, all you need is your birth certificate and a liscense. At the casino you need two forms of id's. -Marc
Guest GSRchick714
Don't need a passport. You need your drivers license and either your birth certificate OR your social security card. I had no problems with SS and DL. And like everyone says, the alcohol is VERY watered down which sucks but its still a fun place. I stayed at the Ramada which has a 24 hour restaurant/bar in the lobby which is awesome and it has nice rooms and an indoor pool. I never had to show 2 forms of ID at any clubs or anything but make sure you have 2 for the casino. (A credit card counts as a form of ID @ the casino by the way)
