Kohones
I've always liked the 60's Goats, perhaps it's because I remember when they first hit the streets NEW! Guys that had them with the three carbs were ALWAYS ALWAYS tinkering getting them adjusted, but when they were running right - they were awesome. Looking forward to seeing them on the street -

baron_
yup, same baron i should probably update this anyway traded the '67 post coupe for a non #'s matching '66 convertible convertible was stolen about 3 months ago? maybe 4 now... Bought a '66 hardtop that I'm picking up this weekend that i'm pretty happy about I have the #'s engine, but a ram air IV engine is in it now. Shouldn't be long before this is on the road, it's in incredible condition. 14,000 original miles and a recent frame off...but was converted to a heavy track car. Not much work to put it on the street...and stuff like the updated disc brakes is nice to have I'll have better pictures soon, as it hasn't been out of hte garage in a few months and is dirty but....i imagine i'll get a little attention driving this http://homepages.udayton.edu/~mertzgea/tiger1.jpg http://homepages.udayton.edu/~mertzgea/tiger2.jpg http://homepages.udayton.edu/~mertzgea/tiger3.jpg as you can see, half of the car still has the GeeTo tiger racing theme. The other half was taken off, but i'm probably going to put the other half back on. I sorta like it It's an original tripower (high output) 4spd car with special paint code (tiger gold) and a dozen other cool options. Very rare, neat car. Have i mentioned that I'm rather thrilled with it? The twin to this car is owned by Year One. You can see it on their website pretty often...and has the opposite paint scheme. Gold on white instead of Gold on black. Occasionally...they race the two side by side for exhibitions

baron_
astute - likely or similar to a lot of the popular GTO paint jobs back then http://www.geetotiger.com/ I'll have to research the history a bit more I just ran across this car a few days ago and had to have it http://www.geetotiger.com/ModelsE.jpg

baron_
From what I understand... There are several of this car (if not more) Pontiac obviously didn't make a car with that paintjob and lettering and all-out drag potential So, they kinda laid the seeds for it. For an extra $120, you could get a tripower HO 389 for an extra 120, a 4spd trans for an extra $40, a ram air pan etc the special part is the paint code mine's special paint code: tiger gold Special order only and another $90 option (lot of $$ back then..and had to be special ordered) You take this car, add the stripe...and you had a tiger car Obviously, there were a lot of tripower 4spd cars built But not many with that paint code, and not many with the ram air pan So, any of the cars equipped with the paint code, tripower engine could be 'tiger' cars From what I hear, Year One's car is a replica...not really the special paint code car but they couldn't find one The truely special tiger cars are the ones that can say they won the NHRA 1973 season or race at xxxx Mine's not one of those. It was a showcar on the national showcar circuit from 1966 to the late 70's....then sat in a factory in dayton. Hence the low miles. I have the original build sheet, window sticker, protecto plate and i know the original owner it was just recently converted to the tiger car and has 14,000 original miles (lots quarter mile) I only know of one other, in Georgia I'm sure I'll be learning more about it in the future
