God no, only run the GM supercharger oil, part #12345982

You can do it yourself. There are instructions online, see http://www.clubgp.com

...and while you are asking yourself why I'm helping you it's because I don't want to see a 3800 suffer in your incapable hands.

Well, going by the title can go both ways :).

I'm guessing you're talking about the actual S/C oil. I believe it's good for a long time. Some people change it out around 50k. All depends on how anal you are on the car I guess.

Now, if you're just talking about motor oil.. then do what you want. :)

I was refering to both actualy I thought it was a FED system via the engine . Learn something new everyday. So the SC is good for a while that takes away my worry there.. Comonly for the motor you can use regular oil no problem then ?

Yeah I changed my SC oil earlier this summer, super easy but damn does it STINK! I used the GM bottles and a squirter thing from like a windex bottle to get it out. I think they recommend changing it every 30k. Also, you can run synthetic for motor oil if you'd like but I have never and just run a blend.

If I'm out next weekend I'll show you where the little plug is on the SC to change the oil, super easy.

there is no reason to ever change the supercharger oil it only needs topped off, it should be checked every oil change. you can get your first motor oil change done at the dealer for free sometimes call them and see what they say. if not bring it by firestone we change it with semi synthetic cheaper than you can buy the stuff and do it at home.
