How should we pay for CR???

ben, i have to say this. if cr is going to take donations, there really "should" be an accounting of what the money is being spent on. ill probably donate, and even though i like anthony and you, i would like to have some assurance that my donation is going to the maintenance of the board and not someones winter project. asking us to "just trust you" is going to be too difficult for most users, i would imagine. im not trying to undermine your character or anything, just posing the thought so that you can look at it objectively.

I like the sound of this. Seems like a good idea. I do have a few questions about it though...

 

1) What if someone doesnt have paypal or a credit card, etc?

 

2) Are you going to do this and have it started by new year?

 

And it definately sounds like you need someone to keep track of who pays, how much, etc. Get a secretary lol that way you dont have to do all that you do PLUS keep track of that.

Accounting: I wrote an app to do this for us. Its web based. Its easy.

Another two cents??? I read where some folks would like an accounting of what the $$$ is spent on?? For me = I could give a shit less!! If CR wants $20 a year or whatever, how that money is spent is up to CR. I enjoy the board & the friendships in CR, that alone has value & I'm willing to pay so CR can continue intact. For admins to account for the $$$, that just takes MORE TIME - this seems to just go on & on. I say establish da fee, give all a time frame to remit & lets get on with it --- Again just my opinion --
