CR Race Day?

Why dont we all get together and pick a day this spring to have a track day at trails. try to figure a day when most everyone could come. like they do for the imports. has this been done before on here?

id rather race in real life than talk about racing. i think it would be cool a nice spring track meet. and maybe we could do a dyno day with the cars from CR too. would be a lot of fun.

we did at LEAST 2 dyno days this year... i dont know about track days.

cool is it in the fl? or on a lift? dont know how the truck would be to get on a lift type dyno. hmm. a track day in spring should deffinatly happen too. that would be sweet. people could chalange for spots in the top 25. and if enough people go we could just rent the track and have grudge races all day long. fun.

Good idea (track day) but from the turn out this past fall - you'll get people to either sign up or say they're in / then NO SHOW!!!! Thats what happened at Norwalk outing. It ended up costing COFBA $$$$$ to pay for the track. If you move forward to actually rent a track I'd suggest you =

 

* rent Trails or wherever waaay in advance

* then COLLECT in advance from all participants

 

Otherwise you run risk of eating a shortage to pay for days track use. Just friendly advice -

All of us at my work (10sec93) get together and rent national trails a couple times a year its a good time.

i was thinking renting trials because its the closest 1/4 mile track. would be sweet to try and schedule now for sometime in the spring like mid may or so. that way people out of town could show up. so could those AR dudes and we could see who is fast and who is not. just a idea.

It costs if i remember right 700 to rent trails on a friday evening from 12ish to 5ish. The weekends cost more if there is one open due to insurance and medic costs. Track days rule though.

I'd be down, but spring wouldnt work out for me, still some issues needed to be done first.

if there was enough interest we could do a spring test and tune and another track rental in the fall 700 bucks is prety cheap if enough people come.
