Furnace help needed!

5 yr old Trane 90 - error #4. It's blowing cold air and the pilot is not lighting. filter is clean and everything inside seems to be clean. Any ideas?

we're good. looks like it has a bad hi limit sensor (thing that looks like a credit card, w/2 wires coming out of it) I bypassed it and runs fine and it is within the degree range of 35-65, difference between intake and exhaust.

 

Damn, I'm an expert now thanks to google.

 

We're going to heat the house up and run a space heater for the night and I'll replace the part tomorrow.

My furnace is starting this thing where you can hear a small boom before the heat kicks on. I think the house is about to blow up.

be carefull letting it run with the hi limit bypassed the burner can overheat the furnace and then burn your house down
