Anyone that knows anything about plumbing

I have a leak, and I need to know how to fix it.

I have stacked bathrooms. My upstairs tub is about my downstairs toilet. Well, the drain on the tub is leaking, leaked into the ceiling drywall and through it in one spot.

Tonight, I busted out the drywall saw to see what's up. Here is what I found:

That little rusty reflective spot on the first joint is a water drop; seems that it is leaking out of that spot. I'd sure like to fix that problem, but I'm not sure how. Right now I've cut the hole out in the ceiling big enough to get my hand up there, though I'll cut it as big as I need to. I've never done any plumbing before, so I'm a bit clueless. :(

well, water flows down hill, and thats a start right??? ;) You should probally think about replacing the pipes with PVC, Those old metal ones were soldered at the joints, and judging from the color of the leak, the pipes are a little rusty. Just resoldering may be an option, buy again theres the rust issue. Not to sure how rust and solder get along. I'm no plummer, but hope this was at least some help.
