not big of a deal, i probably gained about 80rwhp when i opened mine. and all the ls1tech people agreed with me that thats possible :shrug:

so i believe it......

 

I'll assume that was when you were turboed? That would make a huge differnece.

Thanks for the info, I doubt I'll be seeing a 40 rwhp gain from just a cutout, new pipes and headers, but any gain's better than no gain right?

I think it sounds like complete ass with the cutout open. Like a really leaky header.

 

I agree. The sound's not for everyone. I ran true duals on my Formula for a while. That sounded good... :cool:

I’ve heard about people having reliability issues with the QTP in the DSM loops quite a bit. I guess the motors like to die. Last time I talked to Linn about it he had no issues with his after quite a bit of use. I’d imagine he never closes it though, what would the point be? :p That DMH looks like a nice piece. No telling for sure how durable the motor is from the way it looks.
