I think I can see the Mercedes emblem on the valve covers. And that belt driven accessory on the right side looks pretty dated. I'd say late '50s.

Damn people here are more savy then I'd expected. I was expecting the v8 with a throttle body to immediately trip "Late 80's" in most minds. I should have posted an engine with less wear. :p

I saw one the other day and it struck me as being quite cutting edge for 67.

i seen the plastic over flow and the releys and that bumped the car out of the 50's but the valve covers are a dead give away for a damn benz ( i personally hate any benz i have had to do way to much work on them, they are very well built cars but i still hate them) i didnt say mid to late 70's early 80's because i didnt see any bosch injection there. i like that intake though pretty slick looking
