Buck531
I know most people here think it's a gay ass show. That's not the point. For you sub 12 second cars on here, would/could you put your car up on the line? I just flipped on On Demand on WOW and watched a few episodes. The one with the Datsun and the Monte. Then the one with the CRX and the Beetle. (the CRX got an ENTIRE 1/8th mile head start. WTF kind of of race is that?) So.. would you put your car up on the line? I know for the people who have slow cars on here (me included), shouldn't really need to respond. You cant say "yes, I'll be on the show" but then.. you don't have a fast car, reality hasn't set in. Boost-n-Juice
I couldn't put my car on the line like that. Too much $$, time, blood, sweat and tears.
ImUrOBGYN
Do you really have to have a sub-12s car to have an opinion of this sort? It's rhetorical for you. I'll answer it myself. "No." And on that note, no, again. I wouldn't want to take a chance of losing my car. No more than I would gamble (in no particular order ) my gf, daughter, dog or car. Radio Flyer1647545514
If it was a for sure win then yes. If I was rich, then yes. If it was my only car and there was a dead even chance of a win and the shifts made the difference then NO!
Guest Hal
No, I wouldn't. That show leaves way too much room for the slower car to win.
Rally Pat
I have seen many group efforts where people have donated parts and time to build a car just for Pinks. How about us doing one?
Buck531
I have seen many group efforts where people have donated parts and time to build a car just for Pinks. How about us doing one? I watched the one on On Demand with the CRX. I think his name was like Bil Gillspe? maybe? He was from Columbus Ohio. I think he had some type of Built CRX. The other guy was a guy who took collections on a VW forum and basically built their car from that. The beetle ended up hitting the wall at the end, but still. Shitty way to not win. But yeah, it would be cool to take a donation list for CR and build a car that would go on Pinks. That would be nuts.

V8 Beast
I think it would be pretty cool if Lasota, IPS, or other shops on here made a car for the show. I know CR would help.
nurkvinny
I would. But, it would be in a car that I built specifically for the show. It would be a cheap shell with a moderate drivetrain, just enough to support 1 large stage of spray, and 1 fake 2nd stage.
zeitgeist57
Keep in mind that Pinks is also more for shops to promote themselves. If someone cobbles together a camaro for $6500 and still loses, they (and their shop) is still getting more than $6500 worth of national television exposure. lawnman
I couldn't put my car on the line like that. Too much $$, time, blood, sweat and tears. Not only that , it ruins my day if i loose a dollar! So I could not imagine how mad I would be if I lost my ride.

That was exactly what I was thinking and have Linn or Sam run the piss out of it.

truckin
Nope wouldn't do it.........I don't like the way they line them up and give and take cars lengths. It's about as pointless as racing on 270.
Buckeye1647545503
IF I where to do it it whould have to be in a RWD turbo car with a elec boost controller so you can run it hard and they still don't know what you have

Greg, fucking leave it alone. I'n getting of seeing every-fucking-time IPS mentioned, you having to say something on the contrary. Leave it alone, and this is the last warning or you're getting a vacation for repeated thread-crapping. Give it over, it's past childish. ~Anthony

Amy
I'd put the 98 on it.. (if it didn't blow another intercooler lol) I've known a few people to be on the show.. I think its pretty cool. Lots of hard work gone if you loose though. :-(
thorne
I've got 100$ on a Pinks car for CR. If this is a reality and we can for sure reserve a spot. 100$ in.
