Buck531
I've also been told NOT to use Brake cleaner as it leaves some type of film on the sensor.

Guest 78novaman
Use NO RESIDUE CRC Electrical contact cleaner, does wonders. It's like $5 at advance. DO NOT USE throttle body or brake cleaner as they WILL LEAVE A RESIDUE that throws the readings off and most likely RUIN your MAF. I've heard the vinegar trick works, but have not done it myself. 99FLHRCI
Everything I have read says don't use brake cleaner or carb cleaner cause it cleans the film off the sensors that is put there as a portection. I recommend Synpower Throttle Body Cleaner that is made by Valvoline. It says it is safe for all sensors including oxygen sensors. (Another problem with carb/brake cleaner when burned is the damage to the O2 sensor.
