zeitgeist57
Which 4-spd? SM465? Can you tell I'm only interested in the flywheel/transmission?
nachius
I'm not 100% sure what transmission is in it, but here is what I know: It has Low,1, 2, 3, and Reverse Manual Tranny Shifter is on the side of the case not directly in the top and for some reason I want to say it's a T10 maybe muncie or borg warner? You're welcome to come look at it if interested in Chillicothe, or if you know where I can read the model number etc. without pulling it.
zeitgeist57
Thanks, but I hardly make the 1300-mile trip for family...let alone a parts truck! Actually, I'm trying to sell my '85 C-10 with little success on eBay. Your thread is making me think about an SM465 swap into my '82 C20 (currently has a TH400). copperhead
Interested. Other than the issues you've mentioned, would you be confident in towing a car trailer with it for distances up to 200 miles at a time? Also, is it a long bed or shortbed? Do you have any pics? nachius
http://s138.photobucket.com/albums/q280/nachius/ There are a few pics. Fairly Certain that's a full size bed. If the leak is looked into or is found to be nothing major yes I would have no problem driving it a long distance in it.
FormulaMatt
Damn, I wish I could have gotten ahold of you to buy this. I wanted to swap this into my Jimmy. Now I have a ram though and don't need it. Oh well....bump for a truck that's worth the price. These things will last forever, unless the body rots away first! Good luck...free bump.
