allblack325i
Title says it all. I'm not too sure what all years are compatable, but I am in need of a tranny... my second gear syncor is going out and heard it's easier to replace the entire tranny then it is to replace a syncro.... bmw330is
firstly if your car is a 97 its a 328. This is unfortunate for you because you have the zf box which is only shared with the 328 and M3. this can be picked up from as cheaply as 250 and up to to 500 dabloons. However if you truely have a 325, you have a getrag box which is shared with the e30/e36 318 as well as 92-95 325i/s
allblack325i
no the tranny I am needing for this particular car is in fact a 92 325i. any idea how much I would be looking at in buying a tranny for this car? Or where I could find one? I'm guessing you know a bit about BMW's?

Firstly,i would check http://www.bimmerforums.com Youll find one on there for sure, but youll most likely have to arrange for shipping. Start by searching the for sale forums, if you dont turn up anything make a post in the wanted section. Another good one is http://www.car-part.com - which is an awesome resource for just about anything but again, shipping will be an issue but i have found that they are fair. As for price, Id say anywhere from 2-350 bucks would be fair for a low(er) mileage trans. I have one that i pulled from a 92, but it is higher mileage (180k) and the car wasnt drivable so i have no way of knowing if it doesnt have the same problem and really wouldnt feel too confident in selling it. If you cant turn up anything, shoot me a pm. Ill be able to turn up something. Justin
