beater
So the van my band uses to haul our equiptment broke down on our way home from our last show. It is a 97 dodge caravan with the 3.3l engine, as we were driving the rpm's started to flutter and then within 30 seconds the engine had shut off. If I try to start it back it fires and immediately dies. I am assuming it could be a number of things, but I was hoping maybe someone could point me in the right direction here. I am a better musician than a mechanic...and that doesn't say that much haha But, my guess would be it bould be the computer? maybe fuel related? Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I don't have the money to take it to a shop, thanks

heelside1647545510
if i can remember right and it has the same motor as the chrystler van, there is a resistor box of some sort below and the distributor that, if faulty, will create the symptoms you expalined. verse
If I try to start it back it fires and immediately dies. I've seen plenty of timing belts skip on those. It can cause a backfire if that's what your gibberish is trying to convey.
