RedRocket1647545505
Thanks for helping me narrow it down.... OK. G27. Seriously though. If it were me, I'd try to buy all 3. If I had to pick one, for CCW, which is probably what you're doing.....then get the one that works best for you.

Scotty2Hotty
I'm kinda partial to the Glock overall. My other XD doesn't have the finish that my glock does, and tends to wear off faster. Glock's are like small block chevies, you can do almost anything to them, not to mention have tons of holster options and the big mags fit in it too. dragknee66
G27 or the M&P (Assuming you meant compact M&P?)
evan9381
well, if you're dead set on a 40, id go with the M&P. you may know, i just got a 9c and fucking love it. i did check out the glock, about the same size, but it just didnt feel right in my hand. i didnt like the look of the XD, so i passed it up too if you dont mind waiting a bit, they just announced they're coming out w/ a M&P 45c which i will have once this "economic stimulus" check comes in
87GT
I would go with the glock.
RedRocket1647545505
As you can see, this thread is subjective info. If it fits your hand, and you shoot it better than the other two, buy that one. Which one that is, none of us can tell you. All are next to flawless in operation and reliability, save for a few quirks, so...
copperhead
I love my XD9 SC Glock's don't fit my hands at all, but of course that's subjective. I really don't like the grip angle.
Guest Hal
I love my XD9 and I love my Glock 17. Personally I like the trigger pull a lot better on the XD. It's entirely subjective. Try to shoot all of them and see what feels best. At the very least, dry fire them.
