You need to take those Greatest Hits albums off there, all greatest hits fucking suck.

My vote was the Black Album, the rest were just others that I have loved throughout the years and I thought deserved honorable mention.

Also the Godsmack needs to go after what they did to Good Times, Bad Times.

I mentioned certain albums I liked though. Regardless of what has been done I still think they're good.

As for Eminem being a lyrical genius, he can when he wants to be but the fact that his head is in the toilet for at least half his albums always pisses me off. How can he have a song as groundbreaking as Mosh right next to one as stupid and immature as Rain Man.

I still say music aside, and like you said, when he wants to, he is pound for pound one of the best writers I will see in my lifetime. I'm talking lyrics more than "music" here.

Also, how do you put Pablo Honey without The Bends and Kid A being mentioned? Kid A is one of the most brilliant albums ever made, proof positive being in the fact that it totally divided Radiohead fans.

I guess. Just the albums I listened to more, not saying they are factually better, just the ones I enjoyed. I like Radiohead though and would love to see them live. I'm jsut to broke to buy a ticket. :)

You all suck, and dont know what the fuck you are talking about.

NO one has even mentioned the best Album of all-time (opinion) and Second in world wide sales only to "Thriller" (fact) Also the #4 best selling record in the U.S.

AC/DC - Back in Black

...And Justice For All

agreed clearly their best work.

Are you kidding? I hope so. No bass, recycled riffs...heck, only "one" and "to live is to die" were any good, and Cliff completely wrote that, even the lyrics.

Master of Puppets.

You have Orion, Battery, Damage Inc., Sanitarium...not to mention the title track.

You all got it wrong. I went to google, typed in "best album of all time" and clicked I'm feeling lucky. Looks like Rolling Stone magazine made their own list, so us sheeple would know what is the best without having to think.

Looks like top honors goes to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Beatles. I guess we are done here.

no, i wasn't kidding, and you're looking at just the surface. How are you going to bitch about sound quality then talk about Master of Puppets? They're both great albums, and also both great because it was a bit before they figured out their ending sound so you get to hear the growth over time.

And Justice for All flows better than many of their later albums which is what I like and want to hear when I'm trying to listen and judge an entire album. Yes, they had better singles on other albums, but I still like listening to that entire album better than any of their others.

Tilley I was going to say license to ill but my brain farted on the album name. When I'm at the bars I pop in five bucks and play the whole cd, along with others. Pauls boutique and shit, good fucking times.

Agreed - And Justice For All is my favorite Metallica album of all time, and I think it deserves to be thrown in this mix. I also think that the And Justice For All album was the last one Metallica made before they became ultrapopular with the masses. In fact, wasn't "One" the first video they did? It was at that point that I think they kind of crossed over into more mainstream.

AC/DC - Back in Black

You will get no argument from me; it's an awesome album. :)

Godsmack is the worst fucking band on the planet.

Inncorrect.

This is not even an opinion, it's a fact. Roses are red, violets are blue, Godsmack sucks.

Roses are red, violets are blue, Godsmack put on one friggin' sweet show when they opened for Metallica and it prompted me to listen to more of their stuff. Probably the best concert I have been to to date. Fact.

I admit they're not the best. I also said that it was some of the albums I enjoyed, not my vote for best album of all time. Fact.

One was the first video they did, yeah. People bitched and whined about how they were so anti-mtv and then did this...but it's one hell of a quality video. Instrumentation wise...and justice for all was lacking. I listen for musicmanship as well as flow, songwriting (lyrically). I just can't stand ...And Justice For All. Ain't my cup of tea. Blackened was cool for the intro, and I'll give them that they took a lot away from Cliff musically in writing songs, but I can't stand it. Guess it was their last good album, though. Truer to the attitude they started out with than Black. Black was a radio-friendly unit shifter.

It would have to go from favorite to least favorite in Metallica albums

Master of Puppets

Ride the Lightning

Kill 'Em All

...And Justice For All

Black

Load/Reload

St. Anger

Do you want an album that just flows perfectly? Listen to Muse's "Black Holes and Revelations". Starts with an trancy synthesizer loop, ends on a huge sound with a choir on "Take A Bow". The album ends with "Knights of Cydonia". No matter how many times I've listened to it, it never gets old.

I'll agree with you there. I've been listening to it lately. I also like their older stuff too. I must have listened to "Sunburn" about a billion times during college.

While I agree that "Master Of Puppets" is Metallica's best, I will say in defense of "...AJFA" that the bass is there. The bass tracks were not mixed well and were finalized at a low volume.

Back on topic of the greatest album of all time...I would never be able to pick one. I like every single genre of music since the middle ages(~450A.D.-Present). I cannot pick just one :D

Apparently it was in an Apple commercial. I think Origin of Symmetry has been my favorite album of theirs lately.

"If you're into EVIL you're a friend of mine"

A man of faith listening to the "devil's music"?

I have a special place in my heart for Judas Priest. How about you?

judas prist, never liked them. Quite an ominous song indeed. I really like the song, "alchohol and ass" would you like to talk about that as well.
