Crossle
Blizzard? What Blizard? I drove about 120mi Sunday, 30 on Saturday morning, and another 100 today. I saw some snow, but no blizzard. I drove about 30 miles on Saturday, in an '86 rwd corolla. I didn't get stuck on the roads, would you like to call me a moron? Morons are anyone who thinks that the vehicle they are in is going to get them through the shit. No offense, but you did just call yourself a moron. Moron would be someone who goes out in an incapable car and has no idea how to drive in the snow and gets stuck, or someone who goes out in a 4WD truck/car and drives like there is not snow on the ground at all. Science Abuse
No offense, but you did just call yourself a moron. No I didn't, I didn't have an incapable car. During my drive I saw dozens of people who were stuck or involved in accidents, there was no consistency to the type of vehicle. Cars, trucks, semi's. 2wd awd 4x4, it didn't fuckin matter, idiots end up in the ditch, capable folk stay on the road. What vehicle you take out is moot. I chose mine because it was 2000lb and has 165 series tires on it, perfect for getting around in the snow.

twistedfocus1647545489
I'd say we got around 12-15" total here in Delaware. It's hard to say since the wind picked up and the drifting really started. I had to get up early on my days off to take my fiancee to work... other than that it's been kinda' cool to see this much snow at once. It'd be nice if they plowed the side streets here, not that I've had any issues in the Jeep.:woowoo: Pics: http://home.columbus.rr.com/twistedfocus/

street pilot
This plow got off the road and when into the ditch. He was stuck good, 2ft ruts in the mud. spankis
This is my truck, I took my dad to lowes Saturday morning, then to dig out my grandpa's house - note the shovels and snow blower in the back http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/DSC_0003.jpg All the rest of these are long exposure pics I took at my parents house on Saturday night/Sunday morning, between 12:30am and 1:00am: I thought it was cool the way the landscape lights lit up the snow, but couldn't quite burn through it. http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/DSC_0049.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/DSC_0054.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/DSC_0059.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/DSC_0068.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/DSC_0078.jpg

Clifford Automotive
I always tell myself I'm going to go out and shoot when we have a nice snow. I fail everytime. When it first started falling it was sticking real nice to the trees etc. Is that trailblazer two toned or one solid color? As a photog, I'm bummed but no pics to contribute as I'm beat down tired and going to bed. Made a drive from Madison, WI to home and missed the whole fucking thing! yet at the same time. I left on Thursday and was supposed to fly back in on Friday but no go. Instead me and three co-workers drove to Chi-Town and drank and bar hopped until 5am Two of them hooked up with chicks so they are staying there another night, while the two married guys headed back driving straight through in a brand new Trailblazer LT loaded up and comfy as can be  Took about 8hrs including a 1hr accident traffic snafu involving some less than intelligent drivers who thought they could blow by everyone. In the end it was well worth the trip to sleep in my bed tonight. We didn't see any snow on the pavement until we crossed I-75 in Ohio. It was blue sky and sunshine until then. Amazing how the snow line appeared.
GonneVille
Our complex was completely snowed in..the plow truck was useless because the maintenance guy was stuck at his house...our neighbors down the way shoveled their drive into the road, and an Aerostar got stuck across the street, completely blocking it...my Buick and my brother's Voyager were both outclassed...great snow vehicles, both, but the 16" of snow on our street would have high-centered both of them. Pops made it over here to dig us out in his truck though...crew-cab, long-bed 03 F-350 6.0TD 4x4....friggin monster...Dad definitely enjoyed getting it sidways a couple times and scaring the crap out of Mom... evan9381
i talked to my mom. the middle car is hers...apparently that black truck owner works at nationwide (dont know what he does), and they said anyone who came in, they would pay 35$/hr. well, he was on his way, realized he forgot something, came home to get it, pulled up right there, and when he went to leave again, couldnt get out. damn... OP, you live down the street from me. Haha. Could have even delivered you a pizze before if you order from Fox's. since i now have a flyers within 150yds of my apartment front door, i wont order pizza/subs from anywhere else. hell, theyre close enough i would have walked over in the blizzard to keep one of the drivers from having to come bring pizza so close. flyers > *

Guest 78novaman
That sucks, leave and then come back to get stuck that is. I got my new spot stolen again tonight. It's ok though as they just high centered where the middle of my truck left snow! Serves them right. Lousy ricer in his Eclipse took the sonota's place (she's been out and back twice) and got stuck there too. His solution was to mash the gas and spin tires. I can only hope he did some damage to his car as it was bouncing off the rev limiter and the turbo popping out the exhaust for about 5 mins. People suck. TTQ B4U
this one was a rental and was solid blue metallic. Nice color. Overall it was a nice truck, but my LTZ was nicer. Better tires on mine for sure. This one didn't have autosense wipers and the Bose system on mine was better too. I always tell myself I'm going to go out and shoot when we have a nice snow. TTQ B4U
To all those shooting pics....if you are familiar enough and have the ability on your cameras to do so, bump the EV or Exposure Value up +1 to +1.75 or so depending on the scene. This will alleviate the grey/underexposed pics that folks get. If you don't know what the above means, never mind.
AngryBMW
I drove to Lexington Kentucky on Friday. Down 71 I stopped counting cars off in the ditch at 42! The best part about it was at least half of them were assholes in 4wds that thought they were invincible. The scary part was when I was almost to Cinci and there were 2 semi's jacknifed from the 1.5 inch thick ice layer on the road. Fun times though. -Marc
