you will love not paying that XXX$/month payment anymore. So look at that way, it is a good thing. Also that guys garage across the street from you is baller....

That's true. I surely won't miss the payments. Oh, and that guy across the street is a douche. But he does have a black C6Z stuffed in there. Old fuck never drives it.

Austin - I'm very sad you had to sell her? That car was beautiful & I loved parking mine beside yours. Perhaps later you'll buy another? They made a lot of 'em -

Yea. Your's was the one that inspired me to get it. So in the end, this is your fault. :p

I didn't have to sell it, but school has really started to take up most of my time, and it was the smart thing to do. Besides, I haven't driven it since August (it made the trip to Michigan to pick up my truck), and it didn't make much sense to pay for it to sit in the garage.

Doubt I'll get another one. I'm not sure what I'll get next, but it'll be a few years down the road.

Another CR "school casualty". If I had a nickel for everyone on this site who wised up around your age and sold their toy, I'd have a lot of nickels. ;)

Seriously, it's a smart move. When I was about 22 (I had been in the Air Force for about a year) I told myself that I wasn't gonna buy a "nice" car until I had two things:

1. A good, steady, money making career

2. A house with a garage

So I sold my '93 Cobra and drove some other assorted stuff until I finished my degree and got out of the Air Force. And 10 years later, it was still a good decision. Finish school, get a good job, enjoy that insurance break at 25, start putting money away for retirement. Then get some new toys...
