Orion Posted July 10, 2008 Report Share Posted July 10, 2008 That's because the term that should have been used is "multiracial" in the case of two racially different parents. not that i need to defend myself, but here some background... i used to work at a title agency. when i first hired on, i (like eveyone else) was asked to fill out an affirmative action survey identifying wether i was a man or woman, and what my race was. well, they didnt have a "multiracial" option back then, so i chose "other", and wrote that in. about a week later my office gets a call asking to speak with me. i am brought into the office where all of the secretaries sit (about a dozen of them) and handed a phone with a lady from affirmative action on the line. she proceeded to ask me why i chose what i did, and what were my multiple races. when i said "white and black", she then told me that if i was 1 percent black, that i was supposed to select "black". out loud i said, "well, put me down as black then". the whole room went real quiet, with all of the white women looking at all of the black women like, "whats about to happen in here?". having been through this my entire life, i wasnt fazed. one lady, without even turning around in her chair to look at me finally broke the silence by saying, "why would you do that?" to which i replied, "because im black", and then walked out. for the next 6 months that i worked there, whenever someone did some off the wall shit, "because im black" became the default humorous reason. shit just kinda stuck. so, now i just kinda play around with it. i mean, i AM black, but its kind of funny. also, my dick is HUGE.
