Next saturday my brother is painting my truck , I am renting the booths at TANSKY TOYOTA.

These pictures are as of today after the rain , began taping it off and will have it finished and booth ready tommrrow night.

Has been sitting since 2002 - 2003. I welded in new LMC truck ext cab lower patch panels in 2003 (see photos).

Plan is a dyno tune late september (not sure what shop would like to have it for a day?).

Will spend most of its time in crusing the south end 23 S past 104 all the way to circleville.

2.8 60 degree v6.

240 -275 rwhp with 7-8 lbs of boost if the two 85 lb injectors , 190 lph pump , and bypass regulator work in conjuntion and the dyno tech fine tune the base map.

340-375 with the dedicated plate system.

That's awesome. Now I've seen everything on a S10. I had one with a SBC, a vortec 4.3 supercharged, stock 2.8, and the 2.5 I have now. Only the 98 with the 4.3 was nice though. Likin the S10s.

Yeah the stock VIN R TBI s10's push like 90 hp at the wheels. I remember in 1997 I drove to Laguna beach california in this truck and on the way back I hit a tornado in Oklahoma. At WOT because of the head wind , she managed 65- 70 mph max :funny:

whered the blower come from? and why not jump up to the 3.4 and still stay with the 60* motor?? Actually I think they have a 3.5 now thats a 60* motor, might be hard to find one though.

Its from Fageol superchargers. Its a high efficiency straight 3 lobe rotor with tight clearances and hard anodizing.

Yeah they have a 3.5 and 3.6L out now.

The 3.4 block is stronger and you get the bigger bore and the 3.31" stroke from the 3.1 , 3100's but I like the 2.99 stroke and the 3.5 bore. The quest with this whole build up was to stick with a 2.8 and to do it on a very mild budget and have it be a fun cruiser/ bruiser.

The max 25 blower would run out of its high efficiency range past 3 liters.

If this were a max hp type of build it would have been with a GM bowtie aluminum 60 v6 block with 4 bolt mains and a solid roller with mpfi and a huge turbo but thats like 1980 and a coke habit , too much.

haha I almost forgot about that truck is that what you needed the regulator for ?

Yeah I am going to 6an it to the return line on the Holley TBI and make it act as an FMU with the 0-20 spring. All I need is two 6an males and females and about a foot of new hose. The TBI has a regulator in it now but I need FMU like adjustability and can't use a real FMU b/c all of them ramp wrong or too high on the tbi low impedance injectors , even the tbi fmu's like vortechs don't work right.

I had a '85 XJ with a GM 2.8L in it and 5 speed behind it. Stock carb was junk and found a Weber off a jeep forum and swapped them out, it was fun to drive after the carb swap but still it had troubles with wind ( an XJ with 5.5in lift and no aerodynamics so you get the picture) and steep hills in 2hi. In 4 low that truck was a good time.

I was also going to get a blower for mine, kid i went to school with also had some mini cart build heads or something and a cam bla bla. That engine took some major abuse though haha.

Yeah Mike , Weber made a dges 38/38 Outlaw carburetor to replace the Oem thats probably what you had.

Well it looks an awful like a Weber for the 22re in the Yota trucks. Mine had an adaptor on the bottom so may have been made to fit but regardless it was a nice peice for the motor.... it came to life for what it was
