Where can I find more information on this? I want to read the actual proposal. I want to see word for word what this will actually do.

I'm all for a casino in Ohio that will provide jobs and tax monies for the state,

...but if there IS a tax loophole in the bill that would allow the casino to pay NO taxes, then F-that.

There is a tax loophole that may allow you to not pay income tax........but try and stop them.

It's ignorant to think that a casino would be built and no tax revenue would be collected.

yeah...im not a gambler (at least like my g/f who's always "lets go to the casino!")...i mean, i'd go if a few were going, but i can take 100 bucks and stop there...id still like to see one here

sorta like the smoking ban...i have asthma, dont smoke, but going into a bar and not smelling smoke almost sucks. i actually voted against the ban.

Okay I'm reasonably capable of reading legal documents, but I see nothing thats gonna get the casino off the hook. Well the only thing that could even be considered a tax break is the part about the $15million licensing fee being used as a tax credit until its exhausted. Basically that means if they make enough to pay $15million in taxes the first year then they pay no tax, but will for then on out.

I don't care either way, but I'm always for anything that will create jobs or boost a local/state economy.

The lies on the radio about this bill are really pissing me off.

Im the same way. Im a non-smoker but work in a bar and have friends/family who work in bars and knew it would be bad for business (at least initially) and voted against. But it is nice to go into a bar and not deal with smoke. The upside is you cant really have a competitive bar in my area without having a patio to smoke on. :)

As for the casino, im all for it but ive heard the same complaints about it that were brought up the last few times it was on the ballot. That it really only benefits a very small percentage of ohioans.

I speculate crime would rise with a casino. I'm voting against it, because I wouldn't want one in my neighborhood.

I lived just a few miles from casinos in St. Louis. I dont think that is an issue.
