ForeverMaker
For the electricians... So we got rid of the hot tub this weekend and it was hooked up to a 220V box outside the house. The switch in the box is off and I used electrical tape on the end of cut wire. Is there anything else I need to do?
Cordell
It should be disconnected inside the panel. If you don't feel comfortable doing that PM me I can swing by, it just takes a flat head screwdriver and five minutes. Free of charge for a fellow Chevy owner. Dave1647545494
it should be on its own breaker in the panel turn the breaker off I wouldn't worry about the wire in case you decide to get another tub
HAOLE
You should remove the wire at the box. If someone turns the breaker back on for some reason you will have a live 240v wire.

Cant you put a padlock on an outside box like that?

Clifford Automotive
Take the existing wire out of the box. Like stated...If it makes you feel more comfortable go inside the house and turn the next breaker off for the maintenance panel. Then remove the wire. Save it just incase you get another. Your set.
