Slimpsy1647545505
What is the best way to keep your chrome wheels protected in the winter time? I just traded my silver polished clads on my truck for chromes, and don't have anything else for it. Would just a simple coat of wax prevent them from pitting or what's the best way to keep them looking their best over winter?
Cordell
I've had luck in the past just keeping them hosed off, and waxing them a few times through the winter.
Guest 614Streets
Honestly I have found cosmoline type tactics work very well. For example , smearing a synthetic or dino grease onto the surface , although it looks like ass , it will provide a barrier impervious to water and salts and can be removed with pressure washing follwed by degreaser or mineral spirts. 88lx5oh
jegs sells an aluminum/chrome sealer but you may want to try optiseal out. you can ordered online for $24.95 i have used it on aluminum wheels and works great! havent got a chance to try it in the salt/snow, but i feel it will be pretty effective
