LJ
I carry a 642 daily http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/62/l_31a9f9604fa6467e9dc24d74dcf8565e.jpg
Scotty2Hotty
Black one is a 442, 642 is stainless. I like the 642CT crimson trace gripped pocket rocket. Either one you go with, both are fuckin solid. I like the 340PD (163062 product#)due to the fiber optic sight, and .357 chambering. Nice to have an option of loads IMO. Putty
Ya, I am looking at the 642. I like it a lot. I want one of the M&Ps, but they are like double the price for .357 option. I carry a 642 daily Nice!
kenny
My brother has a 360PD, I've been meaning to buy one for ankle carrying. Thing is fucking brutal on your hand, though.
Putty
Thing is fucking brutal on your hand, though. .357, short barrel. Ya, baby cannon. Any of you sell this in your shops?

Scotty2Hotty
As I've been told, a 340PD is like bashing a mail box with an aluminum baseball bat @ 40mph with .357 loads.
Putty
Well, we all love the result that makes!!

Putty
I like the black one. I have been reading the finish is not durable on the 442. People have sent back to Smith to have it refinished.
cinergi
I truly enjoy shooting my 342PD with full house loads (38spl+P), my pair of 340PD's and my 360M&P/340M&P all with 357's through them. The 442 and 642 were good back when I had more of a limited budget.

87GT
The snub nose S&W 357 is brutal on your hands. I have a 6" barrel S&W 357 and that thing is heavy but not much recoil. I shoot the straightest with a 357 S&W for sure. Buy some gloves if you want it. Oh and if you happen on getting a revolver Vances might have their Blazer .38+P ammo left for like $12 a box. I bought 15 boxes last time I went. It isn't brass it is aluminum casing so only shoot in wheels.
