Science Abuse
http://www.mlive.com/opinion/muskegon/index.ssf/2009/02/letter_why_didnt_flight_crew_m.html On the Feb. 8 "60 Minutes" program, we were captivated while viewing the Katie Couric interview of the crew and passengers of Flight 1549. However, we were struck there was not one mention of God, who directs pilots of planes and secures the safety of passengers. We have written CBS and asked them for more realistic programming. Help protect our freedoms. Write CBS about this. Maybe they did mention him, but CBS couldn't put "That mutherfucker put a flock of birds in front of our plane" on the air. Buck531
best quote I saw. Posted by Turtleproof on 02/18/09 at 10:55AM No one mentioned God because it was the skill of the pilots alone that safely landed the plane. If anything, God- the Superghost, Cloudcaptain, Zombie in the Sky- is the one that sent the birds to bring down the plane.

Insecurity combined with a lack of integrity, irresponsibility, cowardice, and with a dash of laziness thrown in. It's so much easier to let an ethereal being shoulder the burden of making decisions, especially when an ethical dilemma is involved. Very few religious types are like this... they just make the most noise.
