She wanted a Mercedes. I'm not crazy about them but I agreed as long as I got to pick the model.

Day 2: Dropped it and put the Stock grill back on (don't care for the CL style grill)

It's fairly well kept so there's not a TON I need to do detail wise to clean it up but some work to do none the less in the coming days. Got some badges to get rid of too. The Previous owner put a "Limited" badge on the back and changed the side badges that will have to go 'cause I"m not big on them in the first place.

It's a rather different driving experience for me but really what we were after. Fits 4 with ease, comfy and quiet going down the road, Very disconnected and numb from a drivers perspective yet goes like stink when you want it to.

Thanks gents.

Suprised nobody has mentioned the chrome wheels yet. I didn't care for them at first but they're really not THAT bad in person. With the chrome grill, trim, badges, etc on the car they kinda fit so I suppose we'll see.

The old guy I got the car from was a hoot and loved this car but we differ in taste on a few items. He had AMG seat belt pads on the car which had to come off, that grill had to go, it's got Ferrari horn's on it which aren't bad and I don't have the stock ones so they stay. The wheels are soo perfect and nicely done it'll be a shame to re-do them but that's still a possibility down the road. It'll likely have aftermarket wheels on it next year anyhow.

Already figured that out. They have a Dyno mode that you can put the car in which will completely get rid of the traction control and has a few cool diagnostic features through the NAV unit that you can monitor. I think it's left, right, left, right, A, B, A, B, Shift, start or something like that. :D However it seems like most of the guys run their quickest times with the traction control left on according to the MB forums.

car looks awesome, but i'll mention one thing that doesn't look right on that car:

The drop you put on it. it just doesn't look right on a luxury sedan esp. that car. other then that, the car is sharp and i'm filled w/ envy that you have enough money to throw around on rather high end cars such as ur porsche, m3, audi, and now ur amg55 :(
