Columbus International Auto Show

So I got to be the first one through the door at noon today. Decent showing of cars I wanted to see. New ZR1 (wouldn't let me sit in it), brand new Camaro (did let me sit in it, VIN#8), new CTS-V. All really cool cars. Got my wife interested in the G8. Checked out the new Solstice coupe. Pretty good showing for GM, and since I could care less about much else it was a good show for Columbus.

I don't care what you guys say, or how long it takes me, I have to have the new Camaro. Even if it's a V6 6-speed, the interior is really cool, and it looks 100 times better in person than in pictures.

And there you have it. What I have been saying all along. :o

I just got back, not a bad show this year, what did you guess the crushed car was?

I was pretty sure it was a small ford or mercury of some type, but I couldn't think of what I had seen in that dark red paint. I just said escort, but I doubt it.

I couldn't tell either first I thought it was a toyota corolla but after looking at it for a long time I noticed part of a tail light and that and the door handles made me finally choose to say it was a 95 Neon.

The show isnt too bad. I had the opportunity to check it out on Wed morning. We had a meeting at the Conv Center and then got a sneak peek at the vehicles while it was still being set up.

Most every car was unlocked. I checked out the Ford's first cuz I'm biased like that :) We got to sit in the cars on the platforms. The 2010 Taurus, Mustang and Fusion look great. There is a new level of fit and finish in those cars.

We got to check out the Raptor as well. This truck is gonna be a beast:)

I liked the Camaro as well. I just wish they would have picked a nicer show car to display it.

We also checked out the ZR1, but it was still locked on Wed morning. I was pissed:)

It was cool seeing the challengers in the Dodge section as well. The V6 challenger is not a bad looking vehicle at all.
