yeah that was no help to anyone.only thing i see doing is rails and putting the regulator up front, and making it return.

the stock system the regulator is t'd into the system. pump is in the tank, and so is the regulator. but the regulator is t-d in around the fuel filter area under the car. I have hated the returnless system since they intro'd it.

but see anthonys system is going to be different. since he has to raise boost pre psi intake pressure. we just need to get brian system to keep with the demand. to be honest, the pressure shouldn't move. brians regulator is the oe one. and his pressure drops right off after the key is off, and i know that not good.

You know what... your right. I read last year that the oe regulator is suppose to keep fuel in the lines to be more environmentally friendly on start up.

I guess I don't understand what you mean by deadhead. It's a returnless system so it's "deadheaded" all the time. Could you explain exactly what these things do when they are at their limits? I just want a clear understanding.

I'm just asking for general knowlage.

There is no regulator in my tank, it's in line with the fuel feed on the fuel rail. Hence why I refered to it as deadheaded. That is a stock f-body, so where's the limit?

So the pressure drops immediately when the key is off?

Have you had any issues with restarts when the engine is warm?

Nope it always starts right up. Last week it would only drop to 35 PSI... cycled the key this morning and it dropped to 0 quickly.

I guess I could also go with a dual pump setup since I already have two walbros.

Scott, what kind of fuel pump are you running?

Same thing you are, walbro 255 from racetronix with upgraded wiring harness. I don't a FP gauge hooked up like you do, so I don't know just what mine does all the time.

I think the regulator could be the issue. From the sounds of other symptoms, that seems to be it.

That really is about the only other thing there is before putting in a fuel system.

Is it dropping to 0 because the gauge looses power when you turn the key off?

Hmm compounding all the issues, this is making more sense.

Brian, I declare shenanigans on your car.

Shananigans was declared on all GM vehicles in the late 80's. I missed the memo before I purchased my car :p

Does anyone know what type of door handle fluid is good for race cars?

Throw a regulator at it?

that what im saying

try another regulator. and see what happens.

if that dont do the trick id say its time for rails and a regulator up front.

lol

basiclly in a nut shell, i have figured out how to make it return style... using rails, reg, hose's. and modding the stock unit. and i like the idea of adding 2 pumps, and thinking more on that. it can be done :D

i did. it was replaced.

I thought about that after I replied and if it was the hose most likely it would be a very slow bleed down....any sizeable crack probably wouldn't let the pump prime up to begin with.
