Picked up a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel today . . . specially designed for GT5. . . and I must say. . . it's incredibly fun. It also works for the PC which is awesome.

I don't game much, but this might change that. Might pick up another for some LAN play.

Anyone else into racing sims with a similar setup?

I bought a Logitech G25 about a month ago to play rFactor on my computer. $300 wheel, I found a used one for just over $100. It's one of the most addicting things I've ever purchased. If you want to play seriously on your cpu, I would highly recommend rFactor. Go here for more info:

Yeah, I was thinking about the g25, but this one I got has supposedly improved on that wheel, in terms of realistic force feedback. . versus just shaking when you wreck. However it was a toss up between the two. Now I'm thinking about getting a chair/wheel mount. Oh the money pit it will become.

Thanks for the link! Looks hot!

This man is full of truth. I used to use my G25 and race in tournaments in rFactor. The Mid-Ohio track mod is dead-on realistic. Two other great sims are Live for Speed and GTR2. Here's a few sites I have bookmarked:

Holy Shit, That NASA Sim racing site is awesome. real online tournaments and kinds of crazy shit... I really like the whole concept of 200-300 lap races, and having an authentic race experience. Too bad i don't have a setup, yet. Good find.

I would love to do some online sims, but I don't have a computer capable right now.

I still play alot of gran turismo but just haven't found the money to blow on the wheel. A couple buddys of mine have the whole setup but it doesn't stop me from whipping their ass with a normal controller.

I got my Logitech Momo force feedback wheel off of e-bay for $45. It's not G25, but it's a great inexpensive option. I think even new they're only $100
