Glad to see things are starting to work out for you. Hoop on Audizine.com if you need any help cause that site seems to be the best for any little info or tips on things for just Audi's. I know someone local here is trading out his hybrids for K04's I'm not sure how the turbos are, but never hurts to ask. Home to see you around, and I will keep my eye out on this post.

That would be me. I would recommend a rebuild on my hybrids. They are still on my car though, waiting on borg-warner to send me my new babies. The hybrids will be for sale though for a good price once I get them out. All you would need is a 5bar FPR and GIAC stage3- tune, or custom tune.

Okay first why the delay with my project. My buddy Jeff from school noticed something interesting when I was trying to pull my halfshafts:

Okay so on with the motor pull. heres some progress pics up to yesterday:

Only thing holding the motor in right now is the engine puller and 2 trans bolts. I have the car on the ground so I can pull the trans/engine forward on the k member with a jack supporting it on the tailshaft so I can unbolt tranny to engine bolts and pull the motor straight out the front end.

Got the motor out!

Tomorrow I am rebuilding both turbos, top end seal kit, oil pan gasket, cam seals, crank seal, rear main seal, timing belt, water pump, aftermarket oil return lines, GIAC software. Then maybe begin to slap it back together.

Pics from today:

More problems go figure! Took off the pressure plate and the clutch disc is brand new, but they flywheel and pressure plate are heat warped!

I ordered a stage 3 exedy clutch kit with pressure plate, 10lb fidanza flywheel, GIAC stage 1 ECU tune (320bhp/380btq on stock everything), hyperboost diverter valves, I'm gutting the pre cats and cats and making my own true dual for now until my buddy gets his welder down here since SSAC (exhaust company) screwed me.

My guess is the motor will be in later next week due to having the clutch shipped and waiting on bolts from Audi at school. More pics tomorrow.

Loooks like funnn! The turbo in my A4 is starting to go leaking a little oil into the intercooler piping :( I'll probably do a ko4 or maybe if I get lucky a gtX eliminator along with injectors and the hammer file from GIAC. While your doin the turbos downpipes would be a nice addition since you have the motor out!

Go bigger than a k04 on the A4 or you'll regret it. I mean you can spend like 2500 or so on a new k04 setup or 3200ish or less and have a full gt28rs setup or s little bigger.

I am making a full custom exhaust for the s4 once my buddy gets his welder out here, which might be a few months. It would be easier with the engine out yes so thats why I'm atleast gutting pre cat and cats for a little power gain for now.

Nice! From what ive heard downpipes give some pretty nice gains on S4's

I would love to run a gt28rs! I may just end up doing that and piecing a kit together little by little.

Lol, the Audi population on CR is multiplying!

Lookin good, having the uasual issues with mine. O2's, inner tie rods and lack of power lol.

Hell yeah thats a good thing!

I just keep finding shit I need to replace on this car, its getting irritating. I figure while I have the motor out do whatever I can afford to it.

I bought: Samco boost hose kit, exedy stage 3 clutch kit with fidanza flywheel, huge stainless steel oil return lines, GIAC stage 1 ecu, EBC ultramax slotted rotors all around with ackebono ceramic pads, hyperboost diverter valves performance wise for the car.

The car has a brand new OEM drive shaft, all the gaskets for the motor, new trans and engine mounts (came with the car), new timing belt/water pump/serp belt, new t-stat and gasket, turbos are fresh rebuilt and balanced, new rear wheel bearings, used axle spline for the front where it cracked.

All I need to buy now (crossing fingers) is:

intake manifold gaskets

injector o rings

1 of the 02 sensors gotta read the codes when it runs again

cv boot clamp

few bolts that stripped out

I'm still just awaiting arrival of parts so I can get this thing back out on the road
