TimTaylor751647545500
A few new shots. Wanted to get some detailed before shots and now that I'm pretty much done working on the Maxima few at least a day or two, I can take some time and work on the bike. BugeyeTy
I would recommend investing in a lot of steel wool. If you keep that tank or get a new one you might want to coat it somehow. I got my cb tank red coated an its held up great.
Flybye
Get me some pics and a price. I'm curious to see how it could look. Thanks trust me it wouldnt look good on a cafe racer...its just a stock harley sportster peanut tank. now if you were to hardtail and bobber/rat it out then YES! FourString
This is making me want to build a cafe racer. How much could a person score one of those old bikes for?

Flybye
This is making me want to build a cafe racer. How much could a person score one of those old bikes for? they have been more hard to find lately...i have had a couple CB's but cant seem to find a 750 for what im willing to pay. for a cafe racer i would spend a little more for something nicer. but i hack them up and ditch all the useless shit on them so thats why i wont spend much. i have seen a few for just over $1k lately. pretty nice ones too! i think im gonna build an XS650 this time
Hwilli1647545487
Tim I may have an extra stock tank left over. Its the worse of the two I have, if I dont end up needing it I would let i go for cheap.

zeitgeist57
Do you have an air compressor? I'm thinking that you could treat some of the metal to a soda blaster.... http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=93221 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=65929
TimTaylor751647545500
Yeah...here's my setup currently. I do need to get a bigger compressor though. The Eastwood soda blaster is in the lower right corner (blue) with two bags of soda under the cabinet. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/TAYLORED/0411092127.jpg

TimTaylor751647545500
Well, I know the progress has been very slow going, but with all the other projects I've been working on, I just haven't had much time to work on the bike. At this rate, Howard will have about 20k miles on his bike by the time mine is road worthy. Anyways, here's a few pictures of this afternoon's progress. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02403.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02404.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02408.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02413.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02416.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02414.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02421.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02424.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02426.jpg
ponyjr1647545514
Your doing a great job of labeling all the wires! That pipe is very rare these days, haven't seen on in a while. From back when MAC made a decent motorcycle pipe. I'm kicking my self for selling my XS650, GPZ1100 and CB750C. But oh well...derek needed a VFR, and now SuperMoto parts
TimTaylor751647545500
A bit more progress this evening. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02442.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02443.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02444.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02451.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02454.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02455.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/DSC02458.jpg
TimTaylor751647545500
These will give an idea as to what I'm hoping the end result will resemble. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/1399039834.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/n121201350_30570110_4445.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/CB750bobber.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/Done001-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/1975CB750FII.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/1975CB750-850SSDONE3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/cafe4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/Img_0135.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CB750/IM000265l.jpg

Wheezle
What's the OD of your axles? I'm willing to be it is .78/22mm and if that's the case your Honda CBR wheels will fit. You will need to mak your spacers and other misc brackets. The third one down has 954 wheels and the first one has old 600 wheels.
1revin7
The CB750s are coming more and more harder to come by. They make a bad ass bobber and cafe racer. Can't wait to see it finished.
