i'm having one of those days. get to work this morning and turn like 5 hours all day (had to work from 8 to 7 didn't do anything from about 2:30 till 7) and then get home and have alot of $1200 worth of stuff i ordered to get my fish tank up and running (only good thing that happened today)

 

so i start working on the tank. get 2 of the 3" holes drilled for the over flow and get the over flow installed. start drilling a 1 3/4" hole for one of the 6 closed loop circulation fittings. get 3/4 the way through and the drill bit cought an edge and cracked my brand new $500 tank. now this was an on sale $500, normal price which i get to pay now is around $850. now here it is only monday, lets hope this is the only bad day of the week. i'm almost to the point of selling all my fish stuff.

you can buy a pre drilled tank (over flows) for $1200.00 and then still have to drill for the closed loop.

i have located a 220g tank. its a wopping 1 inch taller.

My 180 Gallon tank has pre drilled overflows I cant find bulkheads for it cheap enough tho.

 

If you did not trash the old tank I would try and sell it to someone with a reptile should be able to get at least half of what you have in it easily.

paul, i drove the vette to work to make my self feel better

 

i'm going to cut the tank apart then cut the cracked part out and then cut the rest of the sides down to match and reassembly and make a sump out of it.
