Customer came to us and base lined his 08 WRX and asked for ways to make more power. The stock Top mount intercooler was so power robbing, It heatsoaked after one pull, So we did the foillowing..

After the following mods:

Tru Boost gauge

Custom slowmotion aluminum intercooler piping with FMIC

Intake

Exhaust

Boost SPIKED 17psi and held 10-12psi

I dont know, that sounds more reasonable. Going from a restrictice top mount intercooler, that has massive amounts of heat on it at all times, to a front mount. Granted hes probably got a little more boost lag now, but thats going to help a lot, i can see a gain of 20whp off of ic hardpipes and a new ic. If they did a turboback i say another 10, but thats 20 im missing and your not getting that out of a intake. I dunno. I wanna see / hear what they say.

They car made 140wtq more over stock its true come in and see the dyno graps guys, The car was tuned on stock ecu flash, as far as boost it spiked 16 psi and held 11psi on the dyno. :) Edited by Evolved8

371 wtq is not unheard of on the 2.5 running big boost. I would think its running 18lbs-20lbs or so to reach those numbers.

Most stage 2's making well over 300wtq. The thing thats really helping out is the front mount the stock top mounts start to break at 19psi the end caps start to come loose.

I've got a 2008 WRX with similar mods minus the FMIC. I hope to see 320-350wtq and 250-270 whp. I'll post up pics once I've got some dyno time set up. BTW The screen shot is a stock TMIC. the 2.5 with a small turbo can make good tq it just can't hold the power out.

Also remeber what kinda of dyno this is. On a dyno jet it would most likely be around 350 which is 100% achieveable.

That motor is severely detuned, i saw it myself.....it made 140 more tq.....true story. Cory knows his shit....hopefully when my motor is built he can pull that kind of tq outta my shit :)

If he can't pull that kinda of tq out of a STi I would ummmm .. Trust me he will. The lost 05 STi I tuned with nothing more then a TBE made over 360wtq. How much change did you make to the AVCS system? Did you change the restrictor pill?

I mean the car is just spiking up there. It's not like the power is hanging in there.

Haven't you learned anything from Supra owners? It doesn't matter how long you make your power for or even if you can hook up. The only thing that matters is that you can do a 13.5 @ 125mph.
