After spending too much time and money in this scene, I can tell you that hands down the preference is turbo'd Tibs over S/C...though, a company called NGM makes a killer S/C setup and it the engine bay looks really hot. All the S/C guys I've talked to say they would have done turbo if they had a chance to do it again due to upgrade costs and boredom after a short time. I don't necessarily mean fast from the factory, but made fast while still looking stockish and ugly. Something like a late 80's volvo with a 5.0 or 2.3 T Ford would be cool.
