Slimpsy1647545505
Wanting to take my wife out to a nice dinner tonight, as the little one will be with grandparents. We normally go to J. Alexander's and love their food. . . but I wanted to step it up a notch. . . if it was worth it. Is Morton's worth the pricetag? How's their enviroment? Is it yuppy central or can the casual average Joe feel comfortable dining there? Thanks in advance. . . other suggestions would be appreciated as well! Brrcats
I like it, I only go on special occasions, so I usually end up dressing nice when I"m there, but I've seen people in jeans and sport coats. its pretty great food, used to be my favorite steak place

El Karacho1647545492
J Gilberts, at least the one I went to in Connecticut, is a great place not just for steaks.
mrs.cos
Nathan and I have gone for a couple of Valentines day dinners. We were always dressed a bit swank. Personally we have enjoyed our food greatly there. There are quite a few upscale restaurants in columbus aside from there. Honestly, to me, the interior feels like what a traditional upscale steak house feels like. Kinda hotel-esque fine dining... (i cant explain it really) Another place to check out would be the Refectory (i personally have never ate there, but only heard good things) http://www.therefectoryrestaurant.com/ If you like a modern feel to your dining with a modern flair Cameron Mitchells is pretty good too.. http://www.cameronmitchell.com/ So is the Elevator http://www.elevatorbrewing.com/

TonyG
Mortons is good, but spending over 50pp, you might as well drive to Indy and hit up Fogo de Chao, all you can eat of the best meats possible. I am over paying 50 for 8oz of steak, get me 2 or 3lbs of some various Brazilian cooked meats!!
