Trust me this was our first thing an we will try but for 20500 it won't happen. True, but you can always sell it for like $17k and just pay the $3500 out of pocket, or if you don't have it maybe do a personal loan or something, either way that's a lot smaller payment than $20k. We're trying to do a similar thing w/ our 2008 Nissan Quest. We owe about $15k on it and trade in is right around $12k, so we're a couple grand short and just don't want this large payment anymore, so we might just eat a couple thousand in negative equity via our heloc or a personal loan in order to get into a cheaper car.
