Science Abuse
Immeasurable amounts of win. One review called it "Kosher porn", and I can certainly see why. Shit, I'm blond haired, blue eyed, and of German descent who is critical of Israel... I applauded at the end of the movie, just like everyone else in the theater... cuz fuck the Nazi's. . . . Actually, that could be an alternate title: "Fuck the Nazi's ass in the Face." The movie will not end like you think it may win, no matter how you think it will end. Do your best to avoid spoilers. Pro-tip: don't take a date that can't handle great special effects... like carving up human beings great special effects. Warning: This film may well make homo-phobe hetero men love Brad Pitt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44vd-KbR5-0 Edited August 25, 2009 by Science Abuse
Ramsey
other than being very slow at points it was pretty good, the movie was paced more like jackie brown, not pulp fiction. I wanted another pulp.

Patrick
Haven't seen it, but enjoyed "The Dirty Dozen" is this essentially a modern day remake? It's a name reuse of "The Inglorious Bastards". But I guess.

Aaron
My wife and I liked it. It wasn't awesome. But it was good. If the good parts weren't REALLY good, they would not have made up for the slow parts. However because when it got good, it was REALLY good, it made the overall movie good. lol.......make sense? copperhead
The best part of this movie was the trailer for Avatar. If you enjoy Tarantino's other works, you will probably like it. If you, like me, think that his previous movies are way too long, and contain waaaaaaay too much filler crap dialogue that doesn't help the story out in any way, well, this movie has a ton of it. In German and French. Which means most of the movie is in subtitles. All of the action from the movie can be seen in the trailer. The only saving grace was Brad Pitt's ability to make a poorly crafted role turn out pretty well, but then he was barely given any screen time. Had Tarantino removed one of the (several) stupid, pointless subplots and replaced it with Pitt in action scenes, I may not have had thoughts of walking out. I give it -2 stars, and rate it worst movie I've seen all year.

Ramsey
the subtitles didnt help how slow it was. i think all the sub plots made it work.
SpaceGhost
Funny if it were not in subtitles I think I wouldn't have liked it as much. Great flick, his best so far IMO. By the way, "Avatar" <looks as queer as a 3 dollar bill. Of course if you play video games like every 12 year old, of course this looks like a cool movie. No fucking way man, Basterds, Dogs, Pulp, Bill, Brown doesn't even get ranked, fuck that double feature he did 2 years ago was better than brown. I would rank his part of 4 rooms better than brown too.

Kinda slow but great plot. dogs was great for what it was, a 100k movie, but doesnt beat pulp. And kill bill should have been one movie, too much shit was added to make 2 complete movies. As soon as I saw the commercial I had to ask my friend "Is adam cook the screen writer?" That's an inside joke, but trust me, it's a really gay guy. Gayer than 8 guys fuckin 9 guys? It took a bit to even extrapolate what the fuckin this was about, since I have no clue what the game is about. I actually could care less about the story, I'm really interested in the technology going into the filming http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1208038/Avatar-How-James-Camerons-3D-film-change-face-cinema-forever.html
Chad is Dead
It was to slow for me. At one point I even almost fell asleep. The end was good, I'll give it that. Other then that, it just didnt strike me as being all that good.
matty2431
I think its easily his second best movie behind pulp fiction. I do have a theory, which is going to contain some spoilers for those who havent, but for those who have its something to ponder. ---Here we go You know how QT always throws something in his movies that is left up for the viewer to decide. Like in pulp fiction, whats in the case (I know for a fact its marcellus' soul) but without imdb you dont know that and its your take on whats in the case. Well, with Basterds its the double agent. They never mentioned who she was sympathetic to. I believe she purposely lead the basterds to that bar to be killed by the germans. Hence why there was a major there, no french, and a bunch of germans. The jew who ran the theater had to have something to do with the basterds as the two basterds that remained in the theater knew her plot. How did they know her plot you ask? They placed the bombs in the back of the theater and knew all the germans would be crowded at the back of the theater like sitting ducks for an uzi and the bombs. They also knew when to make their move on hitler. I believe they picked up on the queues in the movie, as that is exactly when the first basterd got up and left the theater. I think she was sending a message through the film to the basterds. Whadda ya think

zeitgeist57
I'm bringing this thread back from the dead because I watched it last night on DVD. It was VERY ENTERTAINING. Really, a great piece of work from Tarantino and a great "ensemble" piece: every actor/actress was awesome. Rent it/buy it...it's worth a watch.
