Browning
1. How hard is it to replace the seal on the front of my rearend? I know there's a name for it but I can't think of it. It's making a mess as seen in this pic: http://i31.tinypic.com/30b01nr.jpg 2. Can you tell by looking at this pic if this flex plate is okay shape to use? http://i32.tinypic.com/15ewikw.jpg Here's the reason for making that awful noise in the video from my other thread: http://i26.tinypic.com/zw0o6w.jpg

Dave1647545494
that flywheel has some burn/ chatter marks on it if its a beater you can probably just clean it up with a whizzy wheel and some brake clean and be good

Just a wire wheel on a drill or what?

Was thinking about it but this thing doesn't leak a bit of oil. Not even a drop. It leaks other shit though lol Can I just use some sandpaper by hand? If so, what grit? I'm assuming I just want some shine without cutting a bunch off right?
Dave1647545494
60 grit it'll take forever though

Richard Cranium
It looks like the flywheel has balancing holes drilled in the top right, make sure whatever you do does not effect the balance.
Browning
I'm just not sure where I can get it done at around here and would rather not remove it unless I really need to. Some say it's fine, just clean it something while others say it need turned
Browning
bt what oil/fluid do I put in the transmission. Found this in a T5 manual "2-4. APPROVED LUBRICANT. Most T5 transmission models use DexronÒ II automatic transmission fluid. Refer the vehicle owner’s manual or service manual for lubricant specifications. CAUTION Do not mix different bands or types of transmission lubricant. DO NOT USE GEAR OIL IN THE T5 TRANSMISSION SINCE THIS MAY DAMAGE THE BLOCKING RING MATERIAL." so auto transmission fluid? Can some one confirm this.
