justcause
So I got my new Nikon D5000 and wanted to test it out at the pool hall. It just so happen a local pro, Chris Bartrum happened to be walking in the same time I was. Here are just a few of the pics I took. They are still really big so here is the link http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-3/1158952/0 To zoom out on your browser hold CTRL then press - [Ctrl -] Edited September 1, 2009 by justcause
Clifford Automotive
Couple of the shots you need to turn your ISO up and bring your shutter up. Wheres this pool hall? Havent been to one in years.
justcause
Thanks for the advise, I'm still new to the DSLR. The pool hall is Players Billiards on Main Street near Hamiliton Road on the east side
JaSSon
There's already too much noise in most of the pics. Increasing the ISO will only increase the noise. You need to use the flash in this lighting for a moving target.
Clifford Automotive
If they are posed shots yes use flash. If there not NO dont use flash. Especially in a pool hall. You'd be pissing some people off. There are a few with some high noise, but thats what post processing is for. Im sure he's shooting in Automatic right now as he said hes new to it. To the OP just remember its not a point and shoot, your are control a lot more once you move that switch on the top.
