Sco0terzsl
Hey, remember me?! I figured I'd show you guys some recent pictures that I have taken. It had been a few months since I've gotten my gear out, I had to blow the dust off from it. North American Motoring is having a photo contest with the topic "Fall Colors" for this month and I wanted to get some in to submit so that motivated me to get off my arse and snap a few. I'm not sure which one I'm going to use so let me know! 1 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2518/4040001954_bc9be0b63d_o.jpg 2 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2536/4040001526_81ea175f13_o.jpg 3 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2770/4040001032_cb249c7dde_o.jpg 4 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2630/4040000116_c436778bb4_o.jpg Also, a buddy from Columbus came down on Thursday to get some pictures of his immaculate hatchback. The weather wasn't really on our side, but we made the best of it and I think I got some pretty good shots. 5 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2804/4037372243_6a4d5d6dbf_o.jpg 6 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2760/4039998318_b1274ca8aa_o.jpg 7 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2471/4039998552_f51a0affc0_o.jpg 8 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2527/4039998844_cdcf30fcf0_o.jpg 9 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2760/4039999072_56ccf06476_o.jpg 10 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2518/4039999312_18844f79d5_o.jpg 11 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2537/4039999426_6df486d27a_o.jpg 12 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3490/4039999578_876eac21f0_o.jpg 13 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2432/4039247847_351d40184b_o.jpg That's all I've got for now, I'll see you guys in a few months! TurboRust
this guy needs to find the people that mounted his wheels and tires and pimpslap them.. the yellow dot on the sidewall is the lightest point in the tire and therefore be placed by the valve stem... I guess this installer didnt feel that was necessary http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2432/4039247847_351d40184b_o.jpg
staywide8
LOL...most people that mount tires dont mount it that way, unless people ask.

I guess this installer didnt feel that was necessary The dot is the heaviest part of the tire Derek, so you line the heavy part of the tire with the light part of the rim (where the hole for valve stem is) to balance it.

Accroding to this, Red is high spot and should be put on dimple for steel wheels, or valve stem for wheels without dimple. Yellow is light spot and should be put on heavy spot (valve stem) of wheel. Red dot has precidence over yellow dot. http://www.bridgestonetrucktires.com/us_eng/real/magazines/97V1Issue2/Doctor.asp

Actually, the yellow dot is the lightest spot and it is suggested to mount this above the valve stem. The red dot is the high point, recommended to be mounted at the low point of the rim....I've seen them marked in white My guess is this guys wheels shimmy on the highway. Cereal_Killer
Hm, guess I was wrong, I always assumed that the valve stem was the lightest part cause the metal removed for the hole would weigh more than the valve stem you put back in. I'm glad I don't mount tires too.
