zeitgeist57
Cobra MkIII, or '33 Hot Rod? I've followed both extensively and am hearing that the '33 outperforms the Cobra. Discuss... http://www.factoryfive.com

Guest Removed
all are nice, but when it comes to a mkIII, there are tons of other kits out there, and lots of different ways to build one. the 5.0 based kits are nice, but if you really want a cobra replica, that performs...the a factory 5 isnt going to due it
Nickey4271647545519
the type 65 and GTM both make me squeal with excitement on the inside. But honestly out of the two you mentioned the 33 is my cup of tea.
Crossle
Daytona Coupe please.... The '33 is a close second for sure.
El Karacho1647545492
Tough to say. I've always said there's no car that looks better than the Cobra, even replicas are fuckin nice.

Nitrousbird
Am I the only one that doesn't give two shits about the 33? I like the rest, but those hot rods just don't do it for me at all. Give me a muscle or sports car.
KillJoy
Give me a muscle or sports car. Why does this not qualify as both? KillJoy
zeitgeist57
I like the new '33 because of the removable roof, classic '33 body lines (minimalist), and the Factory Five racing frame. Dig the inboard-mounted front coilovers, too! Think of it less like a 1933 Ford and more like an Ariel Atom killer.

spankis
I didn't realize it at the time I took the picture, but this car is a factory five model I believe. I saw it at Goodguys this year, looked reeeeaally nice! http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/DSC_0015-edited.jpg Don't mind the black and white . zeitgeist57
That's the one that Hot Rod Magazine built. It was featured in this months (Dec '09) and the last two as well. It is a Factory Five '33 Hot Rod. The article does the car a real justice...
RangerTurbo
Is there financing for these things? Or is it an out-of-pocket expense?

Buckeye1647545503
I saw the 33 on the power tour. They built it in a week and drove it the whole tour with no problems. I looked it over close and it is a nice kit it apears and seem to have alot of tuneing built into the suspension and over is pretty nice. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=418&pictureid=3332 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=418&pictureid=3331 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=418&pictureid=3330
Trouble Maker
Is there financing for these things? Or is it an out-of-pocket expense? I'm going to say up front, I'm no expert in this area, this is just my general understanding. From what I understand about financing anything (be it a car or hookers & blow), if you could get financing for something like this, you probably don't need it (you have enough money to just buy it). Getting financing for something that's probably worth or will sell for less than what you have into is hard to impossible. Getting financing for luxury items is harder (i.e. getting financing for an ATV versus a car). That being said, my understanding is that you can buy whole kits, or you can by these things somewhat piece-meal as you build it. So you can buy this part or bunch of parts, build that portion of the car, buy another set of parts and build that part. Kind of like financing it. If you have the ability to finance something like this, you may be able to get a built one. But you still run into it being an expensive luxury item. To get financing on the kit I think would be nearly impossible.
