XChris1632X
As I am wrapping up the paint job on my Ram I have been starting to think about storage for it and keeping it safe. I will have right around 7,000 in the paint alone and about 8,500 in everything including new body parts. Needless to say I want to keep things as nice as possible for a long time to come. During anytime I'll be driving the truck it will have to be stored in the partially open part of my barn due to it being too high with the big tires on it to fit inside. Winter it will have stock tires on it and will be inside. I am looking into a cover for it that will protect during thunderstorms and maybe end of winter freak snow/ice storms. Some of the covers I have found go up to $600. I am kinda tapped out right now with the paint and then buying new wheels and tires for it. I am trying to get a good cover that will fit my needs at the cheapest price. Anyone have experience with this or have any recommendations? XChris1632X
So....you put a $7k paint job on a truck setup for off-road?? I'm corn-fused! I used to take the truck off road all the time. That is part of what led it to needing a new paint job. In all reality the truck is way too nice to be doing dumb shit like that anymore. Once you get it deep in the mud, you never get that stuff out and it creaks and rattles because of it. So I am also putting all new suspension on it. I am sure I will take it off road again but not like I used to, and def not in the mud. The truck will be more of a sunny weekend cruiser from now on, that still gets used like a truck. I am putting a rhino bed in it and will still use it to haul plenty of loads, esp all my toys to the lake. all-show no-go? Its def not all show no go. I tried to do all the go stuff before the show. I plan on pulling the truck a lot next year, and throwing in a new converter to help it get down the 1/4 mile a lot better. My big turbo needs rebuilt so I do have stocker on right now but it is better that way until I get to stud and ring the head and hope to see 55+ psi at all times.
