Billiumss
I'd like to help my parents and friends with their computers over the internet using Remote Assistance, but how do I get around the NAT in the router without having them go into the router to change settings? I've tried it before but couldn't get it to work, only on my home network since it's 1 network using 192.168.1.x Are there any simple write ups out there? TTQ B4U
Look into http://www.logmein.com Way stupid easy to use and free. It even has a deployment link so you just have to send your parents an email, they click the link, follow the instructions and it installs what's needed on their end. If you need to transfer files, I have a link for that too.

Browning
couldn't you just have them bypass the router for the time needed for you to do whatever it is you're doing?
gillbot
logmein is the best option There are other solutions out there but logmein free just works and is super simple.
Billiumss
I might have to try this. I'd also like to transfer files as well.

I am cheap and don't want to pay for transfers, so I either email them to my self or use logmein.com then zolved.com
