Sully
Anyone have it? Likes? Dislikes? I currently have Verizon. My contract will be up in 3 months. I have been thinking about switching to this Straight Talk service. I did a quick search on here and didn't see anything about them. Let's see: With Verizon, I have 450 minutes, unlimited text, voice mail, caller id, and insurance for a whopping $72 per month!! With Straight Talk, I could get unlimited nationwide calls, unlimited text, voice mail, caller id for $45 per month and it uses Verizon's network!! All I do is talk and text. This would be a perfect fit for me. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Straight Talk service. I'm just looking for comments from people who have used or are currently using this service. I don't want to hear about how Sprint is better, or AT&T is better, blah, blah, blah. I am cutting back on unnecessary bills. To be able to save $30 per month on my cell phone bill would be awesome!
Nitrousbird
I've never heard of this service. I'm sure there is a reason for that.
Mr. Jones
I've never heard of this service. I'm sure there is a reason for that. It's quite new. I've heard good things, so long as you are not big on particular phone model/features you are good. If you want a cheap way of making calls/texts and having a reliable network, go for it. Sparky
My dad just got it. Customer service seems to be somewhat of a nightmare (India), The browser is slow and pretty bad (you don't seem to need it). But otherwise for the basics it seems ok. If you can settle for one of their phones then go for it.

V8 Beast
Straight talk is a Verizon Wireless rebiller. The phones just suck at properly using the signal causing data issues.

Littleguy
I have been using Boost Mobile for a while now. $50 per month and no contract for unlimited talk/text.
Sully
So, I am no longer under contract with Verizon. They didn't even ask me why I was switching or offer me any incentives to stay. Their loss. Anyway, these are the phones that I can choose from. I will ONLY be using it for talk and text. No web, downloading, gps, or any of that fancy schmancy stuff. Which phone should i get? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Straight-Talk-Finesse-Prepaid-Touchscreen-Cell-Phone/13370285 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Straight-Talk-Prepaid-Samsung-R451C-Phone/13020917 http://www.walmart.com/ip/STRAIGHT-TALK-Prepaid-LG-100C-HANDSET/13020914 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Straight-Talk-Prepaid-LG-290C-Phone/13020916 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Straight-Talk-Prepaid-LG-220C-Phone/13020915

Please let us know how you like the service.
Sully
You can go to Straighttalk.com and order it directly from them. Edit: Just called the store in CW. They have several.
