TurboNova
Ok as some know my car goes to the body shop next month for a complete repaint. I am going to go aftermarket on hoods. personal preference I am not a fan of flat hoods and I also may need the space if I decide to go 351efi after the turbo destroys the block here are the two options a ram air hood or a 3" cowl hood here is a pic of the ram air http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/ram.jpg I am leaning towards cowl but this ram air hood is starting to look good
truckin
Cowl........ I had a 93 GT with a Ram air/Mach hood and it was nice but always had to wipe the motor down after i washed it cause of the vents. I'm going with an 1.5 to 2" cowl on my 92. zeitgeist57
Cowl first, but ONLY if it's NO MORE THAN 2" HIGH. Any higher and it's uggg-leeee. I do like the look of the ram-air, though...
TurboNova
the one i am lookin at is 3"
Squidward
Personally i like the ram air look but wiping the motor down all the time seems pretty annoying.
Ramsey
go ram, since i wanna cowl.
Guest Removed
stay under 3"...there are tricks to putting a tall motor under the stock hood even
Mr. Jones
Here's a crazy idea. STOCK ONE!
Tshensley
cowl hood
Trouble Maker
That ram air one looks good, imho. Nothing wrong with the stock hood either. Cowl hoods are masturbation unless there is a need i.e. engine won't fit under the stock height hood.
90gt
Stock hood looks and fits the best.
truckin
I agree with anything over i'd say 2.5" is too much. LRS has a nice 1.5" steel hood that'll i'll be picking up.
TurboNova
Well i am not a fan of stock hood and i am leaning towards a boss inc cowl hood
93fox
+1 on stock hood, but if its a must, go with a cowl.
Kevin R.
That ram air hood only flows because of the front bumper. Stock bumper probably won't look as good.
Vulcan900
I vote cowl hood, but nothing to tall.
TurboNova
Yeah I am looking at a Boss inc cowl hood it is arround 3.5 inch cowl. but it is 5 inch wider then most others which makes for great clearance for any 351efi setup. I may go with it.
