Car suggestions

My best suggestion is to not finance a toy.

Since you said you like Mustangs, there's not really a whole lot else that is similar above 2000 for $10k and under. Camaros, Firebirds 00-02 might stay below that mark. I've thought of myself getting a GTO, but that would be hard to find for $10k, with low miles.

If you have to finance it, then that tells me you don't have cash...either not enough for a $10k purchase, or too much debt that has to be serviced first.

Sorry to shit in your thread, but if you listen to this advice you will be MUCH happier in the long run.

i wanted to post this last night before it had already been said, but decided to just keep it to myself

i was in this position less than a month ago...not even for a "toy" per se, but for a second car that i didnt need...wanted an e46, would only run me ~12-13k for what i was looking for, and after down payment and insurance, maybe $300-325/mo. easily affordable with me having at least $600 in disposable income a month, but after talking with people who are smarter with money than me, i realized not a good idea to finance a toy...doesnt matter if its a car, boat, bike, etc...pay cash.

Yeah I've came to the same conclusion that maybe financing a toy car would be a bad idea. I really should just get a fun D.D. car with lower mileage. I think something like a Srt-4 is do-able in my price range, and should keep me content for quite a while.

Think this is the direction I'm going to go. I'm tired of having a car sit in the garage that I never drive, and a high mileage D.D.

So now the search continues for a sweet d.d. for the money.
