zeitgeist57
Dammit, this is one beautiful car. Too bad my allegiance still lies in the CTS-V as my Passat-replacement... http://www.autoblog.com/2010/04/01/2011-kia-optima-new-york-2010-live-reveal/

CRed05
Looks almost identical to the new impreza's, and resemble the new scirocco/golfs.
Mr. Jones
Maybe I'm just car racist, but I could never own a kia no matter how good their cars are getting. Would you consider a Hyundai ? Honda ?
Skinner
Would you consider a Hyundai ? Honda ? he already has owned a Honda. that car is very nice looking.
Mr. Jones
Hyundai no, Honda yeah if I were looking for something like this. I'll just always look at Hyundais and Kia's as cheap little Korean cars even if they are nice. What about Lexus & Acura ?

Mr. Jones
those arent korean..he is saying that he is anti-korean car I realize that, but my point being how a "cheap piece of shit" import company, IE: Honda back in the 70's 80's can mature into a respected luxury brand that people trust. The Koreans are trying to do it breakneck pace, I'll give you that, but they deserve some respect for what they have done in a such a short period of time. IE: The Hyundai Genesis... Trouble Maker
Along the same lines I'm very impressed with the turbo 4 cylinder you can get in that car and the Hyundai Elantra, and I'm sure some others soon. 274HP and 34MPG on the highway in both of those cars. I actually like the looks of the Sonata better I think. Looks like a little Genesis or a rip off of the VW CC. http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/31/2011-hyundai-sonata-turbo-new-york-2010/ "CEO Krafcik says Turbo will come in at "less than $25,000 nicely equipped."" TTQ B4U
Maybe I'm just car racist, but I could never own a kia no matter how good their cars are getting. As a former accord and oddy owner I will stack our van up against any out there. Even with it's 36k on the odo. I actually drove a new sonora the other day. Way wAy way nicer than the last model. On par of not nicer tha. The current accord. 200hp 4cyl has some serious scoot even in a sedan. And as far as race goes....ourvan is black.....and in colege I nailed a beautiful Korean chick. LS_Sonoma
I had a Hyundai Santa Fe when it first came out. Great vehicle and I never had one problem out of it for 70K miles. Id buy another, oh and Kia/Hyundai are the same company.
BloodRed
I currently DD a '03 Hyundai Elantra GT 5-door. 90K on the clock and only had it in the shop once. It is a very dependable little car and I wouldn't have a problem buying another for a DD.

CRAWDAD
My friend just bought a 2010 Kia sorento (suv). It's a nice looking ride for the money! After riding in it, It felt VERY CHEAP!!!! I lost the little respect that I had for them. Hope this one isn't the same way! But it is a nice looking car, better test drive it before you get set on it. It might feel cheap too! Not sure what was going on there.

suffocateXfaster1647545505
My wife and I just bought a 2004 KIA Optima 2.7 v6 iirc with 75k on it for a grand. We needed a car with the addition of our first baby. I must say, I've been pretty impressed with the car. It has a decent amount of power, it's reasonably sized for a four door, easy to get the baby in and out. And looks wise isn't too shabby but not anything to shit the bed over. The new one looks real sharp. I like it.
